Being one of the fastest and most complete in its class, MiCOM 740 provides safe and precise protection for all types of voltage busbar configurations. It can be easily adapted to any configuration and can work with different types of CTs.
Innovative configuration for centralized or distributed architecture
MiCOM P740 provides safety, speed and precision thanks to the CT saturation detection and dynamic topology processing algorithms it includes. P740 protection is one of the fastest solutions (13 ms operating time) that meet the requirements imposed by extra/ultra HV voltage transfer systems.
The MiCOM P740 busbar differential protection scheme can be designed to create a centralized or distributed architecture. It also supports easy busbar maintenance, use and subsequent development.
Fast, adaptable and easy to maintain
MiCOM P740 provides fast fault clearance, typically operating in 11-15 ms. It can be adapted to any busbar configuration and works with different types of CTs. High speed fiber optic cable, eliminating insulation problems, can be used for communication between the Central Unit and Peripheral Units.
Fully communication-enabled
With IEC61850-8-1 and IEC103 protocols, P740 can be easily integrated into any transformer system.
